See? Dayna understands me!

Listening To: Esthero, "Song For Holly"

I bought some new face stuff yesterday--my face hates me, and it's become time to fight back. I got some Cetaphil, because it's supposed to be a cheap classic. I've only used it once, but it did leave my face surprisingly soft. I needed new toner too, so I got some stuff from Biore (you know, the nose-strip makers?). It doesn't sting too much, so I guess it doesn't have a ton of alcohol in it, and it's got tea tree oil, which is always good. I have some L'Oreal free samples of their Hydrafresh moisturizer--we'll see how it holds up to the humidity today. Oh, and I got some L'Oreal Featherlash mascara on a friend's recommendation, and I really like it--great brush, goes on natural-looking, and the brown-black is actually brown, not some dark gross colour. I may have to rethink my make-up snobbery a little ;)

Listening To: Nikka Costa, "Push and Pull"

I've been reading a lot of online journals lately, and Poundy is one of my favorites. I love it more every time I read it. It's about one woman's journey through weight loss, but stretches further than that. Really good.

Listening To: Afghan Whigs--Gentleman

This site is kind of interesting. I was surprised to see that they mentioned a lack of self confidence or self esteem for all three of my names, because that's definately an issue--maybe there's more stock to these things than I previously thought.

Listening To: Nothing (you know, this is getting kind of pointless...)

Damn. These things are everywhere now, which is a tad annoying, but making them is certainly fun.
Listening To: Twilight Singers, "Annie Mae"

Good God. Michael Wayne McGray, who may well be Canada's worst serial killer, just confessed to another murder--the killing of a teenaged hitchhiker a decade and a half ago. He murdered a woman from my hometown and her 11-year-old daughter--she had left Newfoundland and taken her daughter with her to New Brunswick to meet McGray, whom she had been corressponding with. He killed them both not long afterwards. It's incredibly frightening to think that Canada's worst killer murdered someone that went to my school. It's a fucked up world we live in, I think.

The story is in the National Post--I'll post a link when I get my email from them.

Listening To: Nothing, cause it's late

I've been going to this site a lot lately, and entering in what I've eaten. I eat an atrocious amount of sodium, I've discovered, but I'm not as bad in some areas as I thought I was.

I'm just glad that I can do this--keep track of my food intake--and think it's fun, not get all neurotic and unhealthy over it. It shows how much has changed in the past few months.

Listening To: Nikka Costa

Finally picked up (and finished) a book! I was bored and lonely on Monday, so I started reading Bridget Jones' Diary, and I really enjoyed it. Her I'm-so-fat-nobody-loves-me bit got a little old, but I didn't take it too seriously, and there were quite a few laugh-out-loud moments. Overall, very enjoyable. It was so nice to just sit and read for once--I need to make an effort to do it more often.

Wow, I haven't updated in a while.
